have seen Shark Tank and we have heard about incubation cells in colleges that have become a thriving ecosystem for budding entrepreneurs. But not all businesses can go to Shark Tank, nor do we have access to incubation cells, but that does not mean that every SME cannot dream about funding and mentoring.
In today’s fast-evolving entrepreneurial ecosystem, access to the right funding pathways can be the stepping stone to take your business to the next level. For many entrepreneurs, financial support and mentorship are often the missing pieces between a great idea and a thriving enterprise.
That’s where Udyam Kaushal — an initiative by Brahman Business Network Global (BBNG) — steps in to change the game.
Udyam Kaushal literally means Entrepreneurial Skills, and true to its name, it’s more than a competition — it’s an ongoing initiative. Designed exclusively for Brahman entrepreneurs, this program helps small businesses and startups transform ideas into investable ventures.
Like the saying goes, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”, BBNG is focusing on imparting skills and knowledge that can help create a new generation of successful entrepreneurs.
BBNG as a platform has always focused on giving something to the community and Udyam Kaushal is the perfect path to help entrepreneurs thrive in the start-up eco-system. “We realised that most communities either have government support, or a strong backing of their community for business. This was one area where Brahman’s as a community were lacking, and we decided to take it upon ourselves, to create that ecosystem in the form of Udyam Kaushal under BBN Global.” - Program Co-ordinator Milind Garud
From concept validation to funding and mentorship, Udyam Kaushal provides a structured pathway for entrepreneurs to move from potential to performance.
Entrepreneurs are invited to present their most promising ideas — innovative, scalable, and socially relevant.
A panel of seasoned experts reviews each submission, ensuring the most impactful ideas get a chance to shine.
Selected entrepreneurs receive one-on-one mentoring from BBNG Udyam Kaushal panel, leaders and industry veterans, helping them refine business models and market strategies.
Through the support of partners such as Launch Capital, participants get access to potential angel investors and venture capitalists — unlocking real funding pathways that help their dreams take flight.

The previous Udyam Kaushal event, held in Dombivli (Mumbai), showcased the power of community-driven entrepreneurship.
Judged by industry stalwarts like Shree Deepak Ghaisas (CEO, I-Flex Solutions), Shree Chandrashekar Kane (40 years of senior management experience), and CA Milind Garud (Co-founder, Launch Capital), the event recognized outstanding business ideas and rewarded selected candidates with funding and mentorship.
The Dombivali event saw 30 businesses signing up for Udyam Kaushal, of which 16 companies were shortlisted for mentorship and guidance. They received extensive mentoring and training around key areas like creating a business plan, HR implementation, marketing, pitching guidance etc. After the training, another level of filtration took place, of which six shortlisted ventures got an opportunity to present their business during the Parivartan 2024 event.
Among these Indic Wisdom stood out with an impressive funding of ₹ 1 crore, while Supriya Wagh and Shriniket Deshpande gained invaluable mentorship that set them on the path to sustainable growth.
In short, Udyam Kaushal provides a clear roadmap from idea to investment, making it one of the most impactful funding platforms for small businesses in India.
Udyam Kaushal is not just for start-up’s but is also a great opportunity for investors who wish to diversify their asset class. Start-up’s are a lucrative yet high risk asset class. The barrier to entry is knowledge and that’s where Udyam Kaushal helps.
Nearly 6 in 10 start-up investments fail, however when they succeed, they give high returns. Milind Garud, an investment expert and Udyam Kaushal co-ordinator says “ Start-up as an asset class is a good option for investors. We invest 1-2 lakh, and you can get 10X in just 7-8 years. Not all companies are successful, but the ones that are successful give exponential growth.”
